Travel & Hotels BART from SFO to Downtown San Francisco The SFO BART station is located in the International (Intl.) Terminal and getting there is easy. It's a five minute walk through the connecting walkway from terminal 3 and a 10 minute walk through a walkway from terminal 1. Or follow the signs to take Airtrain and exit at the BART station. Intl. arrivals should turn right upon leaving the customs area and follow the signs to the escalator going up to the station. The fare is $5.15 for the 30 minute trip to the Powell Street station, which is the exit for the San Francisco the Marriott and Union Sq hotels. The Montgomery station is the exit for financial district hotels and Moscone. For directions to your hotel go to www.bart.gov, click on the Expanded Quick Planner, select your departure (SFO) and arrival (Powell or Montgomery) stations. The Marriott is on 4th St., one block east of the BART station. BART from OAK to Downtown San Francisco To take BART from OAK purchase a shuttle ticket ($2) as you exit the terminal. Go to the shuttle bus stop and take the AirBART shuttle to the Coliseum station. Purchase a ticket from the machine. The fare is $3.35 to San Francisco.
