Starting from Scratch

• Choose the template you like by first selecting the style from the thumbnails and look at a bigger version of that when clicking on it.
• After deciding which style you want to use, right-click on the PowerPoint file version hyperlink of that template.
• Save into your personal folder.
• Open it in PowerPoint.
• Delete the pre-designed pages and start with making your own.
• Make sure the number of slides and the level of detail is appropriate for the time you have allotted.
• Typical twenty-five minute presentations range from 15-25 slides.
• 12 minute presentations range from 8-12 slides.
