DVD PROCEEDINGS INSTRUCTIONS
This year, the proceedings will be published by ACM in New York, and will be compiled and produced on DVD by OMNIPRESS. The Technical Panel Copyright will be held by ACM, one of DAC's sponsors. DAC will publish its proceedings on DVD Only. Please see important dates above to know when your papers are due to the co-chairs for review and the deadlines to have your paper published in the proceedings. For further information, and to prepare for the proceedings, please go to Proceedings Prep.
Please use this template when preparing your panel abstract for the proceedings. As the Panel Organizer, you are responsible
for preparing and submitting a Word document of this summary. It should explain
the panel topic, delineate different points-of-view represented by the
panelists, and outline the main points of contention.
Panel abstracts are due to Rich Goldman and Lindsy Bentz before March, 18 2011. Rich will respond with any suggestions to allow you to make changes for your final manuscript. Rich can also help you determine ACM Categories and Subject Descriptors should you need assistance. Final abstracts will be due March 31, 2011 to Lindsy Bentz.
NOTE: All PDF files must be produced using ACM templetes AND be in compliance with IEEE Xplore PDF standards. This will be strictly enforced!
PERMISSION AND RELEASE FORM
This form is due to the DAC office by March 18. Failure to provide a completed form will result in an unpublished paper.
SPEAKER'S GUIDE
PowerPoint files are the only acceptable visual aide this year at DAC. DAC will provide a PC with Windows, PowerPoint and a LCD projector. Appropriate connections for both PC and MAC laptop computers will be available. Due to compatibility issues, using your own computer for your presentation is NOT recommended. Therefore, you MUST bring a back-up copy of your presentation on a USB drive or CD-ROM.
Please go to Talk Prep, Slide Prep and At DAC to help prepare you and your presentation for DAC. These are your ultimate Speaker's Guidelines and will house all the information you need to successfully present at DAC.
REGISTRATION
Panelists are entitled to a discounted full-conference registration fee. Registration instructions will be sent to the presenters by March 30. If you have any questions, please contact the DAC Registration Coordinator Jackie Horn.
VISAS
U.S. Embassies have been experiencing longer delays in the issuance of visas. Due to the increased security measures in the United States, an updated visa might be required. Thus, it is recommended that you check to be sure your visa will allow entry to the United States. More information regarding travel visas can be found here.
