Silicon Valley Welcomes DAC: San Jose Chosen as the Location for 2027, 2028 Conferences

Premier Chips to Systems Event Heads to the World's Innovation Capital

SAN JOSE, CALIF. - June 19, 2025 - DAC, the Chips to Systems Conference and the leading global event for chip design, is delighted to announce that its 64th and 65th editions will be held in San Jose at the San Jose Convention Center. DAC 2027 is scheduled for July 10-16, 2027, followed by DAC 2028 on June 24–30, 2028.

For many years, attendees and exhibitors have advocated for bringing DAC to the heart of Silicon Valley—and now that vision is becoming reality.

Home to a dense concentration of semiconductor and software powerhouses, trail blazing startups, and world class research institutions, San Jose offers an unparalleled setting for collaboration across the design to system ecosystem. Staging DAC in this environment will encourage deeper industry engagement, spur new ideas, and accelerate innovation from chips through to complete systems.

Selecting San Jose underscores DAC’s commitment to evolving alongside the industry it serves. Locating the conference in the center of Silicon Valley connects participants with local talent and provides convenient access to DAC’s renowned technical program, groundbreaking research, inspiring keynotes, expansive exhibit floor, and industry defining panels. Both the 2027 and 2028 events will deliver the exceptional experience the DAC community expects—now set against the backdrop of the world’s most vibrant semiconductor hub.

Sponsor Support

IEEE CEDA and ACM SIGDA, the long-time sponsors of DAC, recognize that Silicon Valley is a strategic location that will foster breakthrough innovations by placing the event at the convergence of academic excellence and industry leadership that defines the field. The move is expected to energize the chip design community and attract the next generation of pioneers to experience DAC firsthand.

This year, DAC 2025 will be hosted June 22–25, 2025, at Moscone West Center in San Francisco, California. For more information on the 2025 DAC program and registration, please visit www.dac.com.

DAC, The Chips to Systems Conference is recognized as the premier event for the design automation of electronic circuits, systems and silicon solutions. A diverse worldwide community representing more than 1,000 organizations attends each year, represented by system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives to researchers and academicians from leading universities. Close to 300 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, methodologies, and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its exhibition with approximately 135 of the leading and emerging EDA, AI software, intellectual property (IP) design infrastructure and electronic design ecosystem providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and is supported by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design Automation (ACM SIGDA) and IEEE's Council on Electronic Design Automation (IEEE CEDA).
